Sad Day

I only have a moment to write this post, so I apologize that it is brief. Yesterday Ethan had a seizure while I was holding him making his bottle. I called 911, and then ryan. By the time they arrived he was finally making noises again. We took him to the Pediatrician, and everything looked fine, and they told us they guessed it was probably induced by his fever. Last night he had another seizure, and we planned on taking him in for a ct scan today. At lunch the poor little guy had another seizure, so the pediatrician told us to take him to the emergency room, as they would be able to get him in to get his scans and tests sooner than planned. he had another seixyre at the hospital while we were waiting to get the ct scan. It is horrible, feeling so out of control, knowing there is nothing you can do to stop it, and watching his poor little body shake and move like that. As of right now, they don't know what is causing the seizures, they are waiting for test results to come back and they will be running some more. They are keeping him overnight, so they can keep him medicated (to prevent the seizures) and to keep him hydrated, and just monitor him. I came home to get something to eat, and some stuff for staying over night, and I hope you all will keep him in your prayers.

Sick Day

Ethan is sick today, the poor little guy can't keep any food down. The couch is covered in sheets and towels, and I set up his pack and play with some toys in it, so that if he threw up it would be contained, and spread towels around the pack and play. I decided that I need a utility sink like my parents have in their laundry room. It is hard to figure out how to clean up the messes Ethan makes when he gets sick, I never quite know how to handle it all, and a utility sink would be perfect. I could just spray it all down in the sink. I hate when Ethan gets sick, I always wish that there was more I could do to make him more comfortable or feel better. Last night, when he woke up sick, I ended up camping out on the couch with him, with a movie on for him to watch. It was nice to cuddle with him until he fell asleep, even though I was really tired.

Oreos, and my giggly boy.

I love oreos way too much- I have no self control... For valentines day I told Ryan that I really wanted some oreos. I went through the bag in like 3 days. So the other day, Ryan bought me some more, and I'm trying really hard to show restraint, and limit it to one cookie a day. Tuesday i was really good, and yesterday... well, I got carried away (I was bored, and Ryan was gone skiing). Today i've only had one, but i'm dying to go get another...seriously I'm pathetic. Ryan is the kind of person who will save his candy or cookies or whatever it is for days, and nibble on them here and there. I just can't do it.

We had an earthquake!

This morning right after Ryan left for work, I was lying half asleep in bed and all of a sudden i reallized the bed was shaking and hitting the wall. So, I sat up to se who was shaking the bed and realized that, of course, no one was shaking it. Then I realized that the dresser was also shaking and hitting the wall, and I realized we were having an earthquake. Ryan goes to his Dad's office in the mornings, so I called there to see if they had felt it- after telling them I thought we had an earthquake I thought for sure they thought I was a dork and just imagining it, but later I found out that it was an earthquake. Apparently a 6.3 earthquake hit Wells nevada, and was felt in utah, idaho, nevada and california. See, I'm not crazy!! well, at least not on that particalur point.... :)

This is a cute video of Ethan I took the other day. He was giggly and having a great time on our bed. I'm a little silly in it, but he brings out my silliness. :)

New Favorite Sites

I added some new sites to my favorite list, you should all check them out. They are art sites for three of the professors I had while I was at BYU-I. One is for Leon Parson, who is an oil painter and I took an oil painting class from him. Brother Parson did the murals for the Rexburg Temple. Brother Franson does computer art (with photoshop and illustrator), he taught several different classes, but I took a design/color class from him. He recently had a children's book published that he wrote and illustrated, and it looks pretty cute. His website has some really fun/interesting illustrations on it. The other artist/teacher was my watercolor and basic drawing teacher- Brother Bird. He retired, but he still does his art and demonstrations. i'm going to add some other sites on art that I like, so feel free to check them out.

I am so grateful to Joan for the heaters she got Ryan last week. I am actually excited to get our gas bill and see how much it goes down. I was so happy to be able to turn the heat completely off and not have to worry so much.

My dad went in for surgery on his knee last week. Unfortunately it didn't work, so he will be going in to Spokane tomorrow to see his doctor, and then he will probably have surgery again on wednesday. Levi hasn't had his surgeries on his feet yet, but he will be having it as soon as they can. My mom and charlie will have to take care of the two invalids for a while. :).
