Portraits

So I've been wanting to do some charcoal portraits for my portfolio for some time now. I like drawing people, but I haven't done it long enough to make it up on my own. In college I took head drawing and figure drawing, and I loved the latter. Once I got going on a drawing and it started to go smoothly, it was a nice feeling to see it take shape and have it look like the person I was drawing. Now I am no longer in school, I don't have a studio to go to where models are provided, along with perfect lighting. I also have a little boy, which makes it difficult to find times to just pull out my supplies and get to work. I figure I could do it while he took his afternoon nap, or have someone watch him for an hour once a week or something so I could draw, however no one wants to sit still long enough for me to draw them. I can get a portrait done in two hours, preferably a little longer just to really finish it nicely, but I wouldn't make them sit straight for that long. Still, I don't have anyone to draw. So if anyone reading this is willing and close by, and has some time (I know, that probably kills off everyone whose reading this blog) I would LOVE to have someone to draw.

If you could not draw the ginormous zit I have on my nose, I would totally be in.
